Hello, thank you for visiting our antique wooden puzzle collecting web page. "We are a family of wooden jigsaw puzzle collectors, and actively purchase quality wooden puzzles from people who are selling them. We will buy one puzzle, ten puzzles and complete lots of dozens of puzzles. We created this page in the hopes of reaching other people interested in old "hand cut" wooden jigsaw puzzles. If you have any of these old puzzles, and are interested in talking to us about the history behind them, feel free to do so. We are happy to meet other jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts, especially wooden puzzle enthusiasts. We also buy these old puzzles for our personal collection. In some cases we do re-sell or trade a few puzzles. In addition to buying old wooden jigsaw puzzles from people looking to sell them, we are also interested in just getting to know others who share our appreciation for them. We (Mark Mostly) have developed a contact network of some very wonderful people who are quite in tune with the history behind these old wooden jigsaw puzzles. Many of us even visit with each other, and get together from time to time as a group to meet, as well as swap or sell puzzles to each other. A great place for this is the AGPC. ( Association of Game and Puzzle Collectors ) of which we are members. Should you be looking to sell an old wooden jigsaw puzzle or more, we are ALWAYS looking to buy good puzzles. Primarily "PAR" as well as "Pastime" puzzles that are in good to very good condition. We will always consider other makers too, however PAR, Pastime, U-Nit and puzzles Tuck's Zig Zag puzzles, are our collection's main focus point. We prefer to buy puzzles in Lots... but individual sales are fine too. What puzzle makers are we interested in collecting? OK image. 20¢ - Missing 1 piece, in good condition with original box -- or Complete in good condition, with a box that is in poor condition. 15¢ - Missing 2-3 pieces, -- or in fair condition 5¢ - Missing 4+ pieces, -- or in poor condition. PER PUZZLE PIECE Price EXAMPLES: an 800 piece puzzle x 35¢ per piece = $280.00 puzzle value a 200 piece puzzle x 35¢ per piece = $70.00 puzzle value	Pastime is a good quality puzzle maker. Their puzzles are not that hard to find, as several million puzzles were produced during the 40+ years that they were made. Picture of Complete puzzle must be provided for verification of puzzle completeness.
PAR Puzzles Antique	1930s to 1970s	50¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box that is in good condition. Puzzle must have irregular edges to the puzzle when fully assembled... not a straight square, or rectangle edged puzzle. (See next line). 40¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box that is in good condition. Puzzles that are straight edged Square or rectangular in shape when fully assembled; 35¢- If Complete and in excellent condition with original box that is in fair condition. 30¢ - Missing ONLY 1 piece, in very good condition with original box -- or Complete in good condition, with a box that is in poor condition. 20¢ - Missing 2-3 pieces, -- or in just good condition 10¢ - Missing 4+ pieces, -- or in poor condition.	A premier maker of wooden jigsaw puzzles. No pictures are on the box, and often the titles are misleading as to what the image might be.
MadMar Antique	1920 to 1967	20¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 15¢ - Missing 1-2 pieces, in very good condition with original box 5¢ - Missing Missing 3 -4 pieces, or in fair condition ZERO (0) value if more than 4 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	A pretty good maker of puzzles.
J.K. Strauss Antique	1933 to 1974	4¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 2¢ - If missing 1-2 pieces and in excellent condition with original box. ZERO (0) value if more than 2 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	Not a particularly good puzzle maker. Typically strip cut, and made from cheap wood with splinters and chips. I am currently not buying these puzzles, unless they come in a LOT sale that includes much better quality puzzles such as PAR, Pastime, U-Nit, or Falls puzzles.
Charles Russell	1930s to 1970s	20¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 15¢ - Missing 1-2 pieces, in very good condition with original box 5¢ - Missing 3 -4 pieces, or in fair condition ZERO (0) value if more than 4 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	A pretty good private puzzle cutter.
U-Nit Antique	1950 to 1970	25¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 15¢ - Missing 1-2 pieces, in good condition with original box 10¢ - Missing 3-4 pieces, or in fair condition 3¢ - Missing 5 or more pieces, and in poor condition. PER PUZZLE PIECE Price EXAMPLES: an 800 piece puzzle x 25¢ per piece = $200.00 puzzle value a 200 piece puzzle x 25¢ per piece = $50.00 puzzle value	Similar to a pastime puzzle in quality, however there is a lacking feature of no color line cutting. The figurals are pretty good.
Tuck's Zig-Zag Puzzles	1866 to Present (British Made)	25¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 15¢ - Missing 1-2 pieces, in very good condition with original box 5¢ - Missing 3+ pieces, or in fair condition	A good British made jigsaw puzzle.

Victory "Artistic" Puzzles (Popular	1930s to 1970s	7¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 5¢ - If missing 1 piece and in very good condition with original box. 3¢ - If missing 2 pieces and in very good condition with original box. ZERO (0) value if more than 2 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	A low quality puzzle however the presence of Figurals makes them a bit more palatable. I am currently not buying these puzzles, unless they come in a LOT sale that includes much better quality puzzles such as PAR, Pastime, U-Nit, or Falls puzzles.
Hayter Victory (Popular or Topical)	1930s to 1970s	4¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 2¢ - If missing 1-2 pieces and in very good condition with original box. ZERO (0) value if more than 2 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	A low quality puzzle. I am currently not buying these puzzles, unless they come in a LOT sale that includes much better quality puzzles such as PAR, Pastime, U-Nit, or Falls puzzles.
Falls Puzzles Antique	1930s	50¢ - If Complete and in good condition with original box. 40¢ - Missing 1-2 pieces, in good condition with original box 25¢ - Missing 3-4 pieces, or in fair condition 15¢ - Missing 5 or more pieces, or in poor condition. PER PUZZLE PIECE Price EXAMPLES: an 800 piece puzzle x 40¢ per piece = $320.00 puzzle value a 200 piece puzzle x 40¢ per piece = $80.00 puzzle value	These puzzles were very intricately cut, but are highly prone to damage of broken and chipped knobs.
FAO Schwartz  (Made by JK Strauss)	1930 to 1950s	6¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 3¢ - If missing 1-2 pieces and in very good condition with original box. ZERO (0) value if more than 2 pieces are missing or in poor condition.	Slightly above average for a Strauss Cut puzzle. It is a shame that Strauss did not pay more attention to quality. FAO Schwartz is better than the Strauss Brand puzzle, but still a far cry from being a good puzzle. I am currently not buying these puzzles, unless they come in a LOT sale that includes much better quality puzzles such as PAR, Pastime, U-Nit, or Falls puzzles.
Isabel Ayer Picture puzzle Exchange Antique	1908 to 1930s	20¢ - If Complete and in excellent condition with original box. 15¢ - If missing 1 piece and in very good condition with original box. 10¢ - If missing 2 pieces and in very good condition with original box. 5¢ - Missing 3 or more pieces, or in fair condition.	A very good puzzle, usually commissioned to be made by Pastime puzzles, however the puzzles are usually well worn, since they were part of a lending library.
Most other Cutters	1880 to 1970	Generally 10¢ per puzzle piece if the puzzle is complete, and if the name of the cutter can be determined, and an original storage box is available in good condition. Generally 5¢ per puzzle piece if the puzzle is missing 1-2 pieces, and if the name of the cutter can be determined, and an original storage box is available in good condition. Generally 5¢ per puzzle piece if the puzzle is complete, but the cutter name can not be determined, or no original storage box is available Generally 2¢ per puzzle piece if the puzzle is missing 1-2 pieces, but the cutter name can not be determined, or no original storage box is available.	Generally the pricing to the left is the standard, however there are some "no name" cutters that did cut puzzles that "may" warrant higher values. Such an instance can only be determined by seeing a CLEAR picture of the completed jigsaw puzzle, with the cut lines being completely visible. Unless this is provided, the puzzle will be assumed to be a general "no name" cut.
